About Christian Science

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. Jesus was the Christ, the Son of living God. Jesus healed the sick and sinning, raised the dead, and taught the supremacy of God on earth. Jesus was crucified. Through the power of God, Jesus resurrected and forty days later he ascended into heaven. Christian Science believes in the literal virgin birth, bodily crucifixion, bodily resurrection and bodily ascension. Jesus was both human and divine. The Bible teaches, "The Word was made flesh." (John 1:14) The Word is Christ. This divine message or Christ is present today to save and heal you.

The Christian Science confession of faith is Matthew 16:16, Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The Christian Science statement of salvation is I Tim 2:3-5. "God our Saviour who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

Why call Christianity, Christian Science? Science refers to God's divine law governing earth. "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Divine law is supreme over material law.

Baptism is being born again. Christian Science practices the baptism of Jesus Christ, which is the fire of the Holy Spirit as well as the baptism of John, which is repentance. "I (John) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he (Jesus) that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire." Matt 3:11
